Artists say thanks

March 8, 2000

Dear Editor:

We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who played such an important part in the recent Baldwin Community Arts Council's Chocolate Auction. Your participation and generous donations will help us promote the arts in the community during the coming year. Thank you to the school district for allowing us to have the auction in the high school building. Thank you to the bakers who brought beautiful and delicious treats, the generous and talented artists who donated their artworks and photographs, the businesses which donated items to be auctioned and to decorate the tables, the members of the Arts Council and Arts Council Board who worked tirelessly to be sure the auction would run smoothly, the auctioneers and their helpers, the young musicians who provided musical interludes during the event, our local newspapers, television and radio outlets for their coverage, our banks who gave us such good publicity, and all the businesses in the area who allowed us to prominently post our flyers on their doors, windows and bulletin boards. We certainly want to thank those who attended and purchased items at the auction. Without all of you, this event would not be possible. We are deeply grateful.

Sincerely,

Christy Carlisle, President BCAC
Ginny Cobb, Chairman, Chocolate Auction
