Best of Baldwin’ set for Aug. 25

July 26, 2000

The Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce has set Friday, Aug. 25, as the date for the second-annual "Best of Baldwin City" on the campus of Baker University.

The chamber has been working with Baker's student services and the Baldwin City Recreation Commission to coordinate the event. It is designed to introduce the business community to the new Baker students arriving for the 2000-2001 school year.

"The Best of Baldwin City" is open to the public as well.

The event will be at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the southeast corner of the campus on the field next to Mabee Hall. It will include a food fair where people can sample a taste of what the various local food service providers have to offer.

Other Baldwin City merchants will be on hand to display their products and services. The food fair and vendor display will run until 7 p.m.

For more information or to get involved with the event, call Diane Niehoff, chamber president, at 594-3244 or Sharole Prahl at the chamber office at 594-3200.
