CHRISTOPHER K. SASS
Funeral services for Christopher K. Sass, 38, Baldwin City, were Saturday at the Worden United Methodist Church. He died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000.
Mr. Sass was born September 18, 1961 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Sondra (Weise) and John Sass. He graduated from Washington High School in 1979. He attended Fort Scott Community College graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
On September 3, 1983 he married Anita Rosche in Kansas City. They were married 16 years.
Mr. Sass moved to Baldwin City in 1993. He wrote fiction and children's stories. One of his books, "Matt the Rat," is due out later this year. He was an avid body builder who won Mr. Natural of Kansas in 1985. He was a member of the Worden United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Sass.
Survivors include: his wife, Anita, and daughter, Allyson, of the home; his mother, Sandy Satterfield and husband, Ted, Overland Park; two brothers, Michael Sass, Merriam, and Tim Sass, Olathe; one sister, Robyn Giudicessi, Olathe; one step-brother, Kris Satterfield, Blue Springs, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City.
