Services for Richard S. Dunn Sr, 70, Wellsville, will be at 10 a.m. today at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin.

Mr. Dunn died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa.

He was born June 19, 1930, in Wellsville, the son of Perry C. and Verna M. (Davison) Dunn. He graduated from Wellsville High School in 1948.

Mr. Dunn was a lifelong farmer, and was a member of Aerie Lodge No. 2700 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ottawa. He was the current treasurer of Hays Township, a board member and treasurer of Rural Water District No. 5, and committee member of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency.

He married Irene Furman on Dec. 24, 1950, in Council Grove. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Diana Hicks, Ottawa; Linda Dunn, Carbondale, and Robin Dunn, Wellsville; two sons, Rick, Wichita, and Shane, Overland Park; three brothers, Roderick, Pueblo, Colo.; Rupert, Overland Park, and Raymond, Baldwin City; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Richard Dunn Memorial Fund, in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067.
