Duane and Susie Lyon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren at the lake house on the Lake of the Ozarks.
Duane Lyon and Susie Smith were married Sept. 4, 1960, in Ottawa. They have two daughters, Chris Kile and Cyndi Buckley, and four grandchildren, Bradon and Kyon Buckley and Kwincy Kile and Karley Kile.
They are owners of Lyon Construction Co.

Ronald and Pamela Taylor, Weeping Water, Neb., along with Ronald Lawrenz, Lawrence, and Linda Barrington, Baldwin City, announce the engagement of their children, Kimberli Taylor, Weeping Water, and Preston Lawrenz, Baldwin City.
The future bride is a 2001 graduate of Weeping Water High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Baker University in 2005. Since graduation, she has been employed by Cerner Corp., where she currently is a contract consultant.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Baldwin High School. He is an air-traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration in Olathe.
The couple plan an Oct. 9, 2010, wedding at Worden United Methodist Church in Baldwin City.
